A Short Visit to My Village in Sleman Yogyakarta

On June 6th and 7th, 2015 my eldest son and I visited my parent's home in Sleman Yogyakart. It was very early morning when I flew to Yogyakarta and arrived in Yogyakarta airport at 6 pm. During the flight the weather was awesome and my son was very excited as he could enjoy the sunrise.

The taxi which took both of us got my parent's home at 7 am. It was very quiet as no body was around. Suddenly, all my childhood memories came to my mind when I saw the front yard. I used to play soccer and hide & seek here.

I also showed my son my rice field that I inherit from my parents. The size is not so big but at least I still have land if someday I want to go back to my village when I get retired. What I like about the rice field is the air and view. The water is also still clean.

Before we departed to Jakarta, we took a walk around Malioboro street. As usual, Malioboro was very crowded and my son even did not have a chance to take selfie in fron of the sign "Jl Malioboro". Finally, I took his picture in front of other people.
